Series IV, Pod II
seed pod, paper, nylon filament, acrylic paint, enamel paint, closed cell polystyrene foam, cedar, shellac
11 x 13 x 8cmThis is a small scale sculpture from a series I’ve made featuring flying foxes/bats. The wings have fine wire through the fingers and arms allowing me to variously pose them, while the wing leather itself is tissue paper. In this sculpture the bats are modelled after the Australian species, the Grey Headed Flying Fox.
Very neat
